It’s no secret that construction is a male-dominated industry. So, to some, our choice to raise money for Breast Cancer Now this October might seem unexpected.
But breast cancer affects men too- and that’s a conversation worth having in our industry.
According to Breast Cancer Now, around 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year. That’s roughly one man every day. Most are over 60, but younger men can get it too.
Behind those numbers are people like Tony, who had no idea men could get breast cancer until he was diagnosed himself. He now shares his experience to help others understand that it can happen to them, you can read Tony’s story here:
