🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️💪 Challenge accepted.

Two Challenges. One Cause. One Team. 🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️💪

This year, Team Taranis is taking on two incredible challenges to raise funds for Community of Purpose, a Bristol-based organisation dedicated to improving the lives and futures of young people by empowering individuals and communities to overcome challenges and reach their potential.

This month our team will be tackling Chase the Sun – Southwest, an epic coast-to-coast cycling challenge covering over 200 miles in a single day. Starting at sunrise and finishing at sunset, riders will push themselves through one of the UK’s toughest endurance events, testing both physical and mental resilience.

Then, in August, we’ll be taking on a HYROX-inspired fitness challenge, combining running with functional fitness exercises designed to test strength, endurance, determination, and teamwork.

These events are about more than just crossing a finish line. They are an opportunity to come together, challenge ourselves, and support an organisation that is making a positive impact within our communities.

Every mile cycled, every rep completed, and every pound raised will help Community of Purpose continue its work supporting people, building stronger communities, and creating opportunities for brighter futures.

We’d like to thank everyone who supports us throughout these challenges. Your encouragement and donations will help make a real difference.

Together, we can go further.

What makes Taranis Engineering different in how we deliver projects?

It comes down to ownership.

From tender through to commissioning and handover, we take full accountability for outcomes, regardless of where the design originates. That means risks, coordination issues and programme challenges are identified early and dealt with before costs escalate.

We run projects with clarity and structure that stand up to scrutiny, making technical and procurement decisions from first principles. We know what we are buying, why we are buying it and how it will perform.

Technical thinking runs through every stage of delivery, not just design. Clear communication reduces risk, key decisions are recorded, and issues are escalated with ownership.

And service and maintenance is built in from day one. Our maintenance team is involved early to ensure what’s delivered can be operated properly long term, leading to fewer defects and smoother handovers.

Leading the industry through industry leading standards.

Projects are only part of our story.

Our Service Department supports client’s day to day, maintaining and optimising mechanical and HVAC systems to ensure performance, compliance and long term reliability.

From planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections through to responsive call outs and system improvements, our engineers work alongside building owners and facilities teams to keep environments running smoothly.

We also support many clients on a full lifecycle basis, from original design and installation of their buildings or refurbishments, through the operational life of their systems, and now again as trusted partners for upgrades, improvements, and life cycle replacements.

Whether we originally installed the systems or not, our focus remains the same: clear communication, minimal disruption, and consistently high standards.

Project Completion: Decarbonisation Scheme Delivered ✅

We’re pleased to confirm the completion of a major decarbonisation scheme, delivered by Taranis Engineering as Principal Contractor.

The project centred on the removal of legacy plant including:

❎ Gas fired boilers
❎ Central chillers
❎ AHUs and associated roof level plant

These systems have been replaced with modern, efficient solutions, including:

✅ High efficiency heat recovery AHUs
✅ Mitsubishi Electric Hybrid Air Conditioning
✅ New PV installation, enabled by freed roof space following removal of redundant plant

Alongside the energy upgrades, the scheme also introduced additional ventilation capacity to support the building owners and tenants with the potential for future laboratory additions.

A key requirement of the project was to achieve an EPC rating of A, supporting long-term energy reduction targets and improving asset performance.

A big thank you to our clients and project partners for their collaboration throughout the programme – and to everyone involved on site for maintaining quality, safety and momentum from start to finish.

A fantastic outcome and a great example of coordinated delivery across MEP and builders works, with Taranis managing the programme from start to finish.

A huge shout out to our team members currently undertaking training and professional development across Taranis Engineering.

From Level 2 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning to University Degrees, it is brilliant to see so many of our people investing in their skills and future careers.

We also want to recognise the commitment behind it all, balancing full-time work, studying outside of working hours, and for many, family life too. That effort deserves real credit.

We are big believers that great delivery starts with great people, and that means giving our team the time, support and opportunity to grow.
