Have you had your Landlord Gas Safety check done yet?

With so many people moving home at this time of year, it's a good moment to make sure yours is up to date.

If you're a landlord in the Bristol area, you're required by law (under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998) to have a valid Landlord Gas Safety certificate, also known as a CP12, for every gas appliance in your rental properties.

Having the appliances checked isn't enough on its own though. You also need the paperwork to prove it's been done. Once a Gas Safe registered engineer has carried out the checks, they'll provide you with a certificate setting out exactly what's been inspected.
