Founded in 1998, Bristol based MLG UK Ltd is a privately owned construction company. As a family run business we care passionately about our work and value our customers. Our primary goal is to consistently deliver a high quality service that is quick, efficient and safe. MLG UK Ltd undertake work within a variety of construction sectors; from rail infrastructure, to housing and domestic works. We carry out a variety of services from timber works, concrete, electrical installations and civil engineering. We also supply Project Management and Health and Safety advice. For the past 17 years we have been carrying out works on Network Rail properties and therefore have access to specialist contractors within the rail industry.

🔨 Project Update | Reactive Platform Repairs | Cholsey Station

MLG UK Ltd carried out reactive platform repairs at Cholsey Station following the discovery of significant deterioration to the steel supports beneath Platform 2.

Working alongside Network Rail, GWR and the planning teams, our team developed a practical solution, installing 1,500 sandbags over four consecutive nights to provide temporary support and help protect the platform.

The works required careful planning and rapid mobilisation, with restricted access and railway operations adding to the challenge.

🏡 Completed Project | St Andrews Signal Box

MLG UK Ltd completed the external refurbishment of St Andrews Signal Box, giving the building a refreshed appearance while helping to protect its existing features. The works included repairs to the timberwork, windows, gutters and external cladding.

The team carefully cleaned and prepared the existing surfaces before applying new finishes, including a three-coat paint system to match the original colours.

A well-planned refurbishment that has helped restore the signal box and keep it looking its best for the future.

🏡 Completed Project | Tesco Express, Cookley

MLG UK Ltd completed a full roof refurbishment at Tesco Express in Cookley, including replacing the existing slates, installing new leadwork and refurbishing the gutters using the Westwood liquid system.

The works were carefully planned to ensure zero disruption to the store, allowing it to remain fully operational throughout the project.

The completed refurbishment has improved the roof’s durability and water management, helping to protect the building for years to come.

🏡 Completed Project | Warminster Station

MLG UK Ltd carried out roofing works at Warminster Station following reports of water leaks within the café.

The works included repairing and waterproofing the existing roof using the Polyroof Protec liquid system, alongside replacing the existing guttering with new heritage-style aluminium guttering to improve drainage and complement the listed building.

The completed works have provided the café with a durable, long-lasting roof and improved rainwater management.

🏡 Completed Project | Oatley House

MLG UK Ltd carried out a roof refurbishment at Oatley House, a Grade II listed residential care facility built in 1925.

The existing roof had deteriorated and was causing water ingress, while the building's heritage and occupied setting meant the works needed to be carefully planned to minimise disruption to residents.

Using the Polyroof Protec Evolve System, our team was able to refurbish the existing roof without the need for a full strip out, providing a durable new finish while helping to protect the character of this historic building.

🏡 Completed Project | Overbridge Refurbishment, Oxford Train Station

MLG UK Ltd was engaged by Great Western Railway to carry out a full refurbishment of a pedestrian bridge at Oxford Train Station.

Working within a tightly controlled shutdown, our teams worked across multiple trades and shifts to ensure the bridge was ready to return to public use by Friday morning.

The refurbishment included new Polydeck treads, tactile surfaces and anti-slip finishes, alongside refurbished handrails, stringers and columns, creating a safer and refreshed walkway for passengers.

🏡 Completed Project | Eastcliffe, Portishead

MLG UK Ltd carried out a high-level re-render of the external parapet wall at Eastcliffe, Portishead, bringing a key feature of the waterfront development back to life.

The existing render had faded and deteriorated over time, so our team removed the old finish and applied a new render, restoring the vibrant colour of the distinctive lighthouse-style structure.

With its prominent position overlooking the Severn Estuary, we're pleased to have helped refresh this unique part of the Portishead waterfront.

A slightly different project from the usual.

MLG UK Ltd was appointed to deliver the safe installation of a large ornamental giraffe structure, showcasing MLG’s flexibility and commitment to tackling tasks of any scale, from everyday maintenance to bespoke, one-off requests.

Before installation, our team carried out service scans to ensure the area was safe before securely positioning and anchoring the structure.

A unique project, completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the surrounding site.
