Another quality damp proofing job carried out by B&D Plastering in Redland. What a transformation! 🤩 The chimney and roof valley had been suffering from years of water ingress. After being made water tight externally, we removed any damp affected material taking a substantial area back to its shell. We don't cut corners at B&D Plastering! A recent damp proofing job completed by B&D Plastering for a lovely couple in Brislington ✅💪🏻 ️

Tanking was incorporated to the external walls to prevent any future penetrating damp showing face internally. We also installed a chemical DPC to prevent any rising damp showing face along the skirting line and above.

This epic project was originally down for over-skimming the existing plaster boards, but as you can see from the pics, there were layers upon layers of wallpaper and paint over the boards. The layers would not come off without destroying the boards - so over-skimming just wasn't an option! We ended up taking 3 bedrooms back to their shells. We then installed 27mm XP thermal plaster boards to the external walls. We also installed some insulation inside all internal stud work which will make the rooms nice and cosy in the colder months! 🥶 After new plaster board instalation we plastered all surfaces, leaving a smooth and sharp finish all ready for decoration 🤩 Thanks to our repeat customer Ali for being such a top customer 😀
