My favourite kind of morning 🌿

A change of the Season is already in the air, and my favourite genre of work is back once again. A late-Summer prune for one of my regulars.

Session length : 3 hours ✂️

If you have a Wisteria that is becoming unruly; calling out for a restructure or obstructing windows, drains or roofing, then get in touch to book your maintenance. I have a few remaining slots towards the end of this month to carry out a late-Summer prune. Otherwise, get ahead by booking now for any major restructuring/training, which will be carried out in February.

Some recent gardening moments from the team🌿

2-3 : Summer Wisteria prune with the main aim to redirect the plants energy to producing more flower buds for next year, over excessive leaves which make it look overcrowded and messy

4 : Two happy garden girlies 😃🐕

5 : A gurt big Dahlia! ✋

6-8 : Process of clearing this pond area of Alstroemeria & re-vamping (the rhizomes shown in Pic 7 which we are working to dig & fork out each visit as they’ve formed huge clumps underground). The hippos are a fine choice🦛

9 : Hummingbird Moth being provided some precious nectar from the Verbena, a true triumph in the hot Summer conditions🦋

10-11 : Cutting shrubby shapes once again✂️

12 : The new turf being a hydrated Queen 🌿

Very much looking forward to finishing up out here & getting stuck into the front garden which is currently beautiful, but overcrowded and overgrown🌿

Never mind the flat tyre and scraping the van along the front gate to get it out for the mobile tyre guy🥲 it’s very pretty and unique, so we’ll let is slide⛩️

Finished up like all good tradies with a pint in the sun of course🍻

Yesterday, despite the crazy heat, we decided to finally make a start on our garden🥳

It seems for Client’s I’m pretty solid at making decisions and implementing ideas, however when it comes to my own home, INDECISIVE AS HELL👹 I fear if I take any longer to make a start, we may never..

The importance of having concrete plans before any work commences is key in the design process, but I kinda like the idea of approaching our own space with a bit more of a free flow. Besides, how am I supposed to stay focused putting together mood boards when this is my view (see slide 2).

A series following our progress is imminent.

An afternoon under the pergola🌹

Writing this while I sit and watch the rain hammer outside the kitchen, I almost forgot how peaceful this sound & how grounding the smell is🥰 very much needed!

This garden is a playground. It’s like a candy shop🍭 and I feel like a kid whenever I visit. Not knowing which section to admire or where to put the tools first, distracted by the vibrancy & sheer volume of species.

I hope you enjoy watching as much as I do working here💚

Some plants & pairing titbits from the camera roll 🌾

Whether it’s interest, texture or scent. Pots, planters or beds. The planting scheme determines the cohesion and harmony within the garden.

Never underestimate the impact an expertly orchestrated plant plan can bring to your space. Year round interest provided by healthy plants will bring an everlasting layer of enjoyment.

If you need assistance bringing nature into your space, we’d love to hear from you🌼

The layers of a Corten feature pot for a beautiful Katsura tree 🌳 swipe to see➡️

Because ‘a bag of compost’ won’t always cut it. There’s more to planting than picking up a bag of compost and hoping for the best. Tailor the soil to your plants needs and watch your garden flourish as nature intended.

This species of tree in particular, native to East Asia, requires moisture retentive soil with a slight acidity to thrive. With the added element of being planted into a container in this instance, it’s important to cater to the root health & preferred growing conditions in order for the tree to come on healthily.

Did you know❓: This ornamental tree is known for its Autumnal scent of caramel/candy-floss which it releases from its leaves🍂 🍭
