Hi just as a heads up, there is a company calling themselves LOCKMASTER Portishead, ww have had several complaints from customers who have totally ripped off by this national number based company, they charged one vulnerable lady over £300 pounds to replace handle cassettes which cost no more than £60 with fitting then said her multipoint gearbox was on its way out and would cost in excess of an additional cost. On inspection by ourselves MASTERKEY PORTISHEAD this was not the case. We are Portisheads only resident Locksmith a family run business for over 30 years, we call these people the 49ers this is what they quote and are usually of eastern Europe decent, we have passed numerous invoices on to A&S police who are investigating this as we have passed on various invoices including an elderly couple who were charged in excess of a £1000 for a job on a Sunday which would cost no more than £160. Admittedly they did not use the name of Lockmaster, if you are not sure then please ring us on our numbers, its not your business we are after but a need to get rid of these cowboy Locksmiths who rip off vulnerable people and give the genuine people in our trade a bad name.
