CLIENT NOT ABLE TO LOCK BACK DOOR
Emergency call out for a client who was unable to lock their door as the bolt wouldn't push out. It was appearing as though something was obstructing the mechanism,

On inspection, the mechanism was found to be heavily clogged with grit. I cleaned this out, solved the issue without having to change any parts and saving the client money.

WINDOW HINGE FAILURE DUE TO LACK OF MAINTENANCE.
This issue occurred because the window hinges had not been lubricated since they were installed. As a result, then window seized and had to be forced open, which caused the hinges to bend.

All three windows in the flat have since required replacement hinges due to the same lack of maintenance.

CONSERVATORY DOOR HINGE REPLACEMENT AND SILL ADJUSTMENT
Due to a poorly installed conservatory, the door no longer closes properly. The incorrectly installed sill, has caused excessive strain on the hinges, resulting in one breaking.

The work required includes replacing the damaged hinge and trimming the sill at an angle to cause sufficient clearance for the door to open correctly. The aim is to restore the door to full working order while preventing any further damage.

SCHOOL DOOR REPAIR!

MANY REPAIRS MADE TO SAVE THIS FRONT DOOR.
Firstly, it wont stay closed because the keep has broken, so it no longer retains the latch. The hinges have also dropped and will need adjusting to ensure the door aligns and closes correctly.
The door handle will need replacing, as the spring has failed.

I'll also fit a thumb turn on the inside of the lock. This prevents accidental lockouts if the key is left on the inside, as the door can still be unlocked from the outside.
