Treating the mould isn’t the same as treating the cause.

Damp and mould are back in the headlines, with recent reports highlighting cases where visible mould has been treated, but the underlying cause of the problem has remained.

It’s an important reminder that when it comes to damp, simply cleaning the affected area or painting over it may not solve the problem.

Damp can have a number of causes, including condensation, leaking gutters or pipes, water pe*******on, poor ventilation or defects within the building itself.

That’s why identifying why the damp is occurring is so important before deciding on the appropriate remedy.

Sometimes it’s good to swap the office for the pub!

Last Wednesday, the team got together for lunch and a few drinks at The Stoneham in Hove – a chance to catch up, relax and spend some time together away from work.

It was also a great opportunity for Louise, our new Office Coordinator, to meet some of our surveyors in person for the first time and get to know more of the wider team.

Good food, good conversation and a lovely opportunity to spend some time together away from surveys, reports and the day-to-day!
