At no More moss we believe our roof cleaning method is the best for your property. It does take longer than the Jetwashing or Chemical washing options but in the long run it will help your roof last longer and look better. Below is a run down of how we carry out the cleaning.
We disconnect downpipes or block up at the top before cleaning. Then clear the moss from the roof using a wire brush technique, by hand, not water pressure. Accessed mainly by ladder. If any other form of access is needed you will be informed. Once the moss is cleared the roof is treated with a safe Moss & Mould Killer to help delay further growth. The gutters are serviced, cleared and downpipes checked to ground level.
A full clean up around the property leaving it as clean as possible. The moss re-growth isn’t guaranteed but we can confirm around 5 years before it gets noticeably bad again. Some last around 10 years it depends on your property location and tiles. We will replace any tiles we break. We will give the roof a look over while cleaning to advise on any maintenance works that might be needed. Moss is taken away. If you have somewhere for it on site we can offer a £40+VAT reduction. Some clients have the roof sprayed every year or 2 with a gutter service to keep the moss at bay. How Much is Roof Cleaning?
On average, assuming easy access and no tiles need replacing, the roof on a typical UK 3-bedroom semi-detached house can be cleaned manually for around£200-£450
