Today, we undertook a conversion project to transform a conservatory roof from a clear plastic covering to a tiled roof. The process involved several steps to ensure a successful transition. Firstly, we carefully removed the existing plastic roofing along with the UPVC roof structure.
After the removal, we proceeded to construct a sturdy and reliable wooden roof structure, prioritizing strength and durability. Once the structure was completed, we incorporated a skylight window to introduce natural light into the space.
To enhance insulation and maintain a comfortable interior, we thoroughly insulated the new roof, ensuring optimal energy efficiency. Then, we moved on to felting and battening the roof, providing a secure base for the tile finish.
Through this transformation, the conservatory now possesses improved strength and insulation, significantly enhancing its functionality. Furthermore, the addition of the tile finish lends a modern aesthetic, refreshing the overall appearance of the conservatory.
