The RIBA Sussex exhibition was installed in the main ground floor space of Jubilee Library this morning and have to say we think it is looking excellent!

The exhibition will be in place for two weeks, so if in Brighton, please do pop into the Library to take a look at the work of 20 Sussex based RIBA Practices, including Mohsin Cooper Architects

The intention of the exhibition is to promote the work of local chartered architects and the benefit they can bring to the region through high quality, thoughtful and sustainable design. It also enables stronger links between the profession and the community of Brighton & Hove, Sussex and beyond.

Bit of a late post here, the team had a fantastic early Christmas treat a couple of weeks ago, with a trip to Twickenham Stadium to witness a very exciting rugby match between England and Argentina.

This was followed by a local curry and more Guinness and beer! What a great and atmospheric day out for the team. England also secured a close run victory with a late resurgence from Argentina nearly tipping the match their way.

We are currently working with a local Church and community organisation on the refurbishment and conversion of a 1920s former Drill Hall in Horsham.

The Drill Hall is a much loved landmark. We are developing the clients brief and vision for the building as both their own meeting hall and office hub, as well as a high quality arts and community venue.

Initial proposals include a sensitive restoration and modernisation of the main hall space including acoustic treatment and new services. Roof lights are proposed to provide natural ventilation and increased daylight, whilst enhancing the architectural quality of the space.

Supporting spaces will be remodelled to provide conference and small scale meeting facilities.

We have assembled a full design team and will be developing the riba stage 3-5 proposals over the coming year.

Can’t quite believe it! We are 15 years old as we incorporated with Companies House in June 2010!

After a lengthy pre-app and public consultation process, we are delighted to finally submit this planning application for a new build development of 6 flats for our client Brighton Lions Housing Society, at their Lions Court site in East Brighton.

The proposed scheme is on the site of a former substation, next to one of their developments.

Brighton Lions provide affordable housing for the over 55’s on several sites across Brighton and Hove.

We are immensely proud of this project and feel it is a great fit on the site. Watch this space as we take the scheme through planning!

Great to see this house in the Withdean area of Brighton finally come onto the market.

We did the feasibility design and got planning permission on this one along with the house at the top of the site. We had no involvement in the detailed design or build out phase of the project.

It’s always interesting to see projects where we only did the planning design and see how certain details and materials we envisioned at planning stage turn out with the finished product.

Sometimes there are compromises, which is understandable with escalating material prices and other issues that arise during construction.

It is a beautiful new home on a lovely private site with dramatic views. Hopefully it will make a fantastic family home for the right buyer!

We are delighted to win the 'Best Architectural Design' award at the South East Construction Awards 2025 held at the Amex Stadium in Brighton, for our one off house in the South Downs National Park.

Many thanks to our fantastic clients, the contractor Chalmers & Co, QS/PM Ross Barnes from Dalton Barnes and structural engineer RID Struthers, without whom this project would not have been possible.

The judges commented on the sensitive, thoughtful design and how well it sits in the Sussex landscape.
