This conservatory project involved removing the existing blown exterior render and replacing it with a traditional sand and cement render.

Internally, the existing plaster was removed back to the original blockwork before applying a sand and cement backing coat, finished with two coats of Multi Finish plaster.

The work has renewed the conservatory walls inside and out, providing a fresh, clean finish.

Another decorating project completed in Brighton & Hove.

Originally, we were booked to plaster and decorate this garden room. However, on inspection upon arrival, it became clear that the walls had been constructed using recycled fibre boards rather than plasterboard, meaning they were not suitable for skimming.

With the client working to a strict deadline, removing the boards and installing plasterboard was not a practical option. Instead, we recommended an alternative solution by taping and jointing the fibre boards, carefully preparing every surface before carrying out the decorating work.

The result is a clean, modern finish that kept the project on schedule while delivering a high quality result. Every project presents its own challenges, and sometimes the best outcome comes from adapting the approach rather than simply following the original plan. Taking the time to assess the situation meant we could provide a solution that worked for both the property and the client’s deadline.
