Another successful industrial project completed by the JSR team 👏

We were tasked with breaking out and removing existing concrete yard areas before constructing a new reinforced concrete ramp to facilitate the installation of new machinery within the factory.

Another exciting project underway for the JSR team 🔨

We are currently removing the existing roof cladding from an industrial unit as part of a full refurbishment project for one of our valued clients. The old roofing system will be replaced with new insulated composite cladding, providing a modern, durable, and energy-efficient finish.

Once the roofing works are complete, we’ll be overlaying the existing floor slab with a reinforced concrete slab finished with a high-quality power float surface — helping transform the unit into a fully upgraded industrial space ready for continued use.

Another fantastic effort from the JSR team last week week 👏

We’ve been hard at work over at Derby Aero Club for one of our long-standing clients, with great progress continuing on their new steel frame hangar project.

Now the steel frame is fully complete, the team have moved onto the concrete floor installation — laying an impressive 1,500m² last week alone, all finished with a high-quality power float finish.

A huge credit to the team for the hard work, precision, and pace on this project 💪

Before the new surface goes down, it’s the preparation that sets the standard for everything that follows. From breaking out and cleaning down the existing area to getting levels, falls and groundwork spot on — every detail matters.

Good prep isn’t the flashy part of the job, but it’s what ensures the finish performs, drains correctly, and stands up to heavy use long term.

Another strong week on site for the JSR team 💪

We’ve just completed resurfacing works over in Rugeley, delivering a full upgrade to ensure the yard is fit for purpose and built to last.

Works included breaking out and removing the existing worn surface, followed by the installation of two small concrete panel walls. We then adjusted heights and falls across the site, raising and lowering ironwork to suit the new levels and ensure effective drainage throughout.

The new surface consists of 110mm of 20mm dense binder course, finished with 40mm of 10mm SMA wearing course – providing a durable, high-quality finish ready for heavy use.

To keep our client operational during the works, we also supplied a small telehandler, allowing them to continue working safely while the yard was out of action for forklifts.

Another efficient turnaround with minimal disruption 👏

✈️ Major Progress at Derby Aero Club! 🏗️

Fantastic to see the latest developments at Derby Aero Club as the hangar extension continues to take shape.

The roof and skylights are now installed, bringing natural light into the space, while side cladding is complete and the gable end installation is well underway. The structure is really starting to come together, marking another key milestone on this project.

🏗️ Industrial Unit Construction Progressing Strongly! 🚧

Works are moving forward at pace on the construction of a new industrial unit for a valued client.

The project includes a full structural steel frame with intumescent coating, complemented by lower-level brickwork and blockwork cavity construction, and upper-level and roof composite cladding to deliver a robust, high-performance finish.

Key elements also include roller shutter and personnel doors, alongside drainage and external parking works to complete the site. At the client’s request, we’ve incorporated two insulated roller shutter doors, allowing the unit to be easily split into two separate spaces in the future—adding flexibility and long-term value.

Heavy-Duty Concrete Floor Installed! 🏗️✨

Another successful project completed by the team! We’ve just finished the installation of a heavy-duty structural in-situ concrete floor, delivered with a power floated finish to provide a strong, smooth and durable surface built to last.

To ensure zero disruption to our client’s operations, all works were carefully carried out out of hours, allowing their business to continue running as normal while we delivered the upgrade.
