Responsibilities:
· Undertake major and minor installation and repair of electrical equipment to the agreed quality standard in compliance with BS 7671 legislative requirements.
· Commission, inspect and test electrical installations.
· Respond promptly to emergency call outs on a rota basis as and when required by the business.
· Undertake monthly communal area testing of emergency lighting in all communal area blocks.
· Identify fault and repair electrical installations effectively.
· Ensuring that all activities undertaken compliance with all business quality procedures and standards.
· Install, commission and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations, BS5839-6 and part B of the building regulations.
· Install, commission and maintain door closure and entry systems in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.
· Maintain accurate and up to date documentation ensuring job tickets and certificates are completed on time.
· Be responsible for the safe use and safekeeping of all Company supplied tools and plant.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a City & Guilds Part 3 Craft Level and 17th/18th Edition Qualification (2380/81 or BS7671) and have experience in completing other trade skills for the role.
· Test & Inspection Certificate- C&G 2391 would be desirable
· Flexible approach to work, including out of hours work
· A full UK driving license- preferably with no or minimal endorsements
· Be able to travel for work
