7th Oct: It was very soothing listening to the rain falling on the polytunnel as I picked even more tomatoes this morning. I’m now sat in the conservatory with a coffee listening to the wet rattle on the roof. There’s a good couple of mm in the rain gauge with hopefully lots more to come. 🍅💦

25th Sept: A big day today. The 2 large conifers that provided a screen at the bottom of our garden since we’ve been here have gone. The ceanothus, the fig tree, & the acer are now large enough to take over that role. They & all other plants in this part of the garden will now receive the light & moisture they need.
