Water bonding fix - (swipe right for before)

Bonding is a crucial part of an electrical installation as it minimises the potential for electrical shock. If a faulty appliance were to become live, and you were to touch between the appliance and an extraneous conductive part you could receive a shock. This is why we run a suitably sized earthing conductor between the main earthing terminal and the extraneous part. As this is water pipe bonding, it should ideally be connected as close to the stopcock as possible so that it can not be disconnected accidentally by any future plumbing work. At this property I found the bonding conductor to be extremely loose, which I found out after testing provided a higher than expected reading, so I correctly terminated the cable via a crimp lug which allowed for a much more secure and safer connection, as well as an expected reading (0.07).

Another fuse board upgrade ⬆️ (swipe right for action shots)

This wasn’t the easiest as there was limited slack on the existing cables, so keeping the cables neat was difficult. However I got there, any now the property is protected by individual RCBO’s. The tails were upgraded and all tests were satisfactory ✅

SWIPE RIGHT TO UPGRADE!

Moved and tidied up an exterior light, it was previously fed directly off of the ring main with no fuse to de rate the current which isn’t the smartest, it also was originally in twin and earth which doesn’t fair well in the elements over time. Always gotta use a wiska box too 😏
