🧱💚 ANOTHER LOCAL TRANSFORMATION UNDERWAY! | THREE C***S 🏡

A little sneak peek at one of our latest projects, and this one's practically on our doorstep! 👀

We've been busy working on a private property in Three C***s, Powys, carrying out external rendering using the Ecorend system, with some lovely detailing where the fresh render meets the original exposed brickwork.

And we have to say, we're loving how this one's coming together! 👌🔥

🏡 MODERN FINISH MEETS TRADITIONAL CHARACTER

One of the standout features of this project is the combination of the fresh, textured render alongside the original red brickwork.

Rather than covering everything up, the exposed brickwork has been incorporated into the overall finish, creating a fantastic contrast between the two materials.

It's those little details that can really make a property stand out! 💪

🧱 PROJECT NEARLY COMPLETE – LIME RENDERING | HAY-ON-WYE ✅

Another one on its way Jenkinson Builders , right on our doorstep in Hay-on-Wye! 👌

You might remember us sharing the progress of this one a little while back, and now we're pleased to show off the half way results, its all down to the after care 🙌

Working on an older property, we carried out the preparation and traditional lime rendering, transforming the tired, uneven exterior into a clean, fresh finish while maintaining the character of the building.

Lime rendering is ideal for older properties, allowing the walls to breathe while providing a durable, natural finish.

It's been a pleasure seeing this project come together, and even better having a job so close to home for a change! 😂

🌿 THE WORK DOESN'T STOP WHEN THE RENDER GOES ON!

One of the important things with traditional lime rendering is the aftercare. Unlike modern cement-based renders, lime needs time and the right conditions to cure and develop its strength properly.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be keeping an eye on the finish as it continues to cure naturally.

✅ Monitoring the curing process – Making sure the lime is curing correctly and not drying out too quickly.

✅ Rubbing out minor shrinkage cracks – Small hairline cracks can sometimes appear during the early stages of curing. Where appropriate, these can be carefully rubbed back and closed while the render is still workable.

✅ Moisture management – Lime needs controlled moisture during its early curing stages, so gentle misting may be required depending on the weather conditions.

✅ Weather protection – Protecting the fresh render from heavy rain, strong winds, direct sunlight and frost while it gains strength.

✅ Final checks – Keeping an eye on the overall finish and addressing any areas that may need attention as the lime continues to cure.

It's all part of working with traditional materials. Lime rendering isn't just about getting it onto the wall — it's about giving it the proper care afterwards to achieve a lasting finish. 💪

🧱 Lime Rendering – Hay-on-Wye

Nice to be working a little closer to home on this one! 👌

Another lime rendering job underway in Hay-on-Wye for Jenkinson Builders .

Plenty of preparation involved on this property, working over a mixture of old brickwork and existing backgrounds before getting the new lime render on. The scratch coat is now going on nicely, ready for the next stage.

It’s always good to work with traditional materials, especially on older properties where lime is the right system for the building and allows the walls to breathe.

Looking forward to seeing this one once it's all topped out and finished — it should completely transform the outside of the property. 💪

And definitely no complaints about having a job locally for a change! 😂

Another one taking shape for Howard Smith 👌

A cracking space to work on this one, with some seriously high walls keeping us busy! 😅

The walls have now been plastered throughout, with the cement fibre board ceiling being left exposed as part of the finished design. The exposed timber beams alongside it should make a great feature once everything is completed.

With all that height and the large openings bringing plenty of light in, this is going to make a lovely kitchen when it’s finished. 👌

Looking forward to seeing this one all fitted out!

🏡 Another big one completed!

This EcoRend job was a serious undertaking from start to finish.

We fully hacked off the existing render, prepared the property, applied a complete scratch coat, before topping the whole lot out with a fresh EcoRend finish.

💪 Over 450 bags used across the job!

A huge amount of work went into this one, but the finished result speaks for itself — clean, crisp and a complete transformation of the property. 👌

Another private project completed by Bevan Plastering ✅

This one certainly had its challenges, with 5-metre high vaulted ceilings and plenty of awkward angles to work around, but no job is too big for the team.

We applied British Gypsum Universal One Coat throughout, leaving the ceilings ready for the next stage while keeping the crisp lines around the exposed oak trusses and the character of this stunning stone barn.

It's always rewarding working on buildings like this, blending modern plastering techniques with traditional features to help transform the space while preserving its original charm.

Another character property taking shape! 🏡

We've completed the finish coat using Lime Solo One Coat, giving these beautiful old stone walls a breathable, traditional finish that's perfect for a property like this.

Before the finish coat could be applied, the walls needed scratching and building out using Diasen to get everything as true as possible.

With a building of this age, nothing is straight, level or square! Every wall, beam and window reveal is different, making each room a unique challenge. That's all part of the character, and it's something we always work with rather than against.

Traditional lime products are ideal for these older properties, helping them breathe while maintaining their original charm.

Really pleased with how this one is coming together – it's been a great project to be involved with.

🏠 Big Project Underway! 🏠

You may have noticed we've been a bit quiet on here lately... that's because we've been busy getting stuck into this one!

We're currently hacking off the existing render on this large property, covering over 300m², before installing a full Ecorend rendering system.

This is a substantial project that will completely transform the appearance of the property while providing a durable, weather-resistant finish built to last.

A nice 4am start this morning as well to get ahead of the heat and make the most of the cooler conditions! ☀️💪

We'll keep posting updates as the project progresses so you can follow the transformation from start to finish.

🏡 Diasen Diathonite Evolution System Completed 🏡

A great project completed for a private customer on this traditional stone property.

The existing stone walls were prepared, reinforced and fully meshed before applying the Diasen Diathonite Evolution cork-based thermal render system. The property is now ready for the finishing coat.
