A simple, straightforward before and after of this lovely Belfast sink we replaced. 🌟

The old one had served its time. With years of staining and a chip on the front of the ceramic, this customer was ready for out with the old and in with the new, giving their kitchen a bit of a facelift. And what a difference it made!

The wood panelling underneath was a little water-stained but not rotten, so it was still in good condition and didn’t need replacing. A bit of TLC and fresh sealing around the new sink will stop any more water getting into the woodwork below.

Another successful job and another happy client. All in a day’s work! 👍🏼

Too early for Christmas? Trust us, the answer is NO once you’ve seen the display at Old Railway Line Garden Centre

This is genuinely the most impressive display we’ve ever seen. For Kirsty’s Stepdad (would rather be anywhere else in the world than at the garden center 🫩) to walk away from a 4-hour afternoon at Old Railway Line Garden Centre saying “Wow, that was impressive” can only mean one thing: they really are doing something right! 👏🏼

As always, we didn’t leave empty-handed, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

We've had our advert in the Local Beacon every month since we started the company. This month, they asked to sit down and interview us, which is a first for us!

We chatted about:

🔧 Our new name. From Beacon Home Services to 👉🏼 Beacon Plumbing & Property. Same team, same values, just a name that reflects what we do best. Ryan is a Qualified Plumber, he’s currently studying for his Gas Certificate and we wanted a name that reflected this accolade. 

🛁 The jobs we take on: All plumbing, from repairs like a dripping tap to a full bathroom refurb or replumbing a whole house. We also love taking on bigger property projects and renovation jobs.

🤝 One of the biggest worries people have when hiring a tradesperson that we’ve picked up on since starting the business: Trust. Which is why we believe our family run, community centered company will be a success in the long run. It wasn’t born from an idea of making a quick buck but from a genuine love of the trade through renovating our own home and a commitment to doing well.

~ Ryan talks you through how to increase your Boiler Pressure which should sit between 1.0 and 1.5 bar.

⁉️ A common cause of pressure loss: Is recently bleeding radiators.

❌ When your boiler loses pressure and drops below its minimum operating level (usually around 1.0 bar), the system will trigger a safety lockout and stop producing heating and hot water!

We spent 2 days insulating and boarding a loft for this client in Three C***s last week, and the job came with an interesting surprise too. 🫣

We uncovered an old, thankfully abandoned huge wasps nest. Which was both interesting but also a bit freaky to interact with… Ryan wasn’t brave enough to hold/remove so Kirsty 💪🏼 had to step in!

Back to the job - creating this much needed, clean storage space gives this customer an opportunity to do some planning, sorting and organising. 🌟

Our client's mum was a painter, and she wanted her mum's paintings to finally have the wall space they deserve. So Ryan (with a little help from me) turned her dark, yellow hallway and bedrooms into gallery worthy spaces, with the added bonus of a much needed freshening up!

We also fitted a new carpet in the landing area too.
