O.C.O were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Norfolk, Jo Pearson, to our carbon capture mineralisation plant in Wretham.
The visit provided an opportunity to show how the site has developed since the relocation of our facility from Brandon and thank him for the support he provided when we first acquired the site.
"I was pleased to be invited to return to the site following its major rebuild. The site has been granted a second life and has become a state-of-the-art facility using excellent green technology. O.C.O has been recognised and awarded a Kings Award for Enterprise for their valuable contribution in this field, and this is great for Norfolk , great for Breckland and great for our environment. It offers local job and industry opportunities, which I welcome and congratulate them on their success.” said Jo.
Jo and his family were instrumental in the late 1990’s in transforming the Larkshall Mill from a derelict site into a state-of-the-art materials recycling facility before its acquisition by Viridor.
"Jo assisted us in understanding the site and its infrastructure, and it was our pleasure to invite him back to share the processes we use to produce our sustainable aggregate and how it supports the circular economy said Paul Barber.
