Looking back at this bespoke house extension in Sutton Coldfield, designed to bring light, flow and a strong connection to the garden. Working closely with our client, we created a glazed single-storey extension with cedar cladding and a charcoal zinc roof, carefully shaped to stitch into an earlier addition.

Slim-framed sliding doors open fully to a landscaped terrace and outdoor kitchen, while the extended kitchen and living areas sit beneath a faceted vaulted ceiling that draws daylight deep into the plan. A calm, contemporary upgrade that transforms how the home is used every day.

We have been working in the Cotswolds for many years and this Grade II Listed barn conversion shows why we love it so much. Original stone and oak sit alongside contemporary oak frames, zinc roofing and glass walls, with light-filled interiors and sweeping countryside views. Planning submitted for a major renovation project on Sherifoot Lane, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield.

Our design enhances this detached home with a ground floor extension featuring a vaulted, open-plan kitchen and dining space, complete with floor-to-ceiling glazed sliding doors.

Upstairs, a gabled first-floor extension creates a new master suite, wrapped in tonal timber cladding with crisp dark metal detailing.

This project features:
- A contemporary zinc-roofed ground-floor extension flowing into landscaped outdoor seating areas.
- A striking loft conversion with a custom-designed dormer, adding character, functionality and plenty of additional space.
