CLUSTER FLY PROBLEM? RIDDEX PEST CONTROL HAS YOU COVERED!

Another job carried out by Pest Control, tackling a cluster fly infestation using a professional ULV (Ultra Low Volume) fogging treatment. ✅

Cluster flies can become a real nuisance, especially during the autumn and winter months when they gather in lofts, roof spaces and buildings looking for somewhere warm to shelter.

💨 Our specialist ULV fogging equipment disperses a fine insecticidal mist to target cluster flies in affected areas, helping to bring infestations under control.

WHAT’S INSIDE YOUR BEDSIDE CABINET? 👀

Riddex Pest Control recently attended a property after a tenant reported concerns about being bitten during the night.

After carrying out her own investigations, the customer was none the wiser as to what could be causing the mystery bites.

Fortunately, we know exactly where biting insects like to hide — and it’s not always where you’d expect!

🔍 During our inspection, we discovered BED BUGS hiding inside a picture frame in the bedside cabinet.

Bed bugs are experts at staying out of sight. They can hide in tiny cracks and gaps around:

• Bedside cabinets and furniture
• Bed frames and headboards
• Mattress seams
• Skirting boards
• Fixings, joints and small crevices

Finding the source is the first step. Now a 2-part treatment programme is underway using:

♨️ Steam treatment
💨 Professional insecticide treatment
🛡️ ChinChex treatment
🪤 Bed bug monitoring traps

The traps will help us monitor activity and assess the effectiveness of the treatment.

Getting unexplained bites at night? Don’t just check the mattress — check what’s around your bed too.

🚨 Emergency Call-Out - Rat trapped in a bedroom 🚨

We were recently called out to deal with a rat that had found its way into a customer’s bedroom – definitely not the sort of guest anyone wants!

Thankfully, our trusty terrier Pippa was on hand. Using her incredible instincts and training, Pippa quickly sniffed out exactly where the rat was hiding and humanely dispatched it, bringing the situation to a swift end.

Jobs like this highlight just how valuable a well-trained working terrier can be. In situations where rodents are concealed in difficult locations, specialist dogs like Pippa make all the difference, allowing us to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
