PHASE 1 — BOTTOM HALF COMPLETE! 🪵✨
This timber definitely wasn’t going to make it through another winter, so it was time for some serious TLC!
All the rotten areas were carefully removed, the deeper sections were replaced with new timber, and the remaining gaps were filled with epoxy resin — because, let’s be honest, I’m a decorator, not a chippy! 😂
Finished off with 2 coats of undercoat and 2 coats of Satinwood, and the transformation is looking pretty good!!! 👌😍
A huge thank you to my fantastic nephew Jack R Whitaker Painter and decorator 💙 for all your hard work, help and graft throughout this phase. Having an extra pair of hands definitely made the job a whole lot easier!
Phase 1 ✔️
Bottom half ✔️
Rotten timber ✔️ Gone!
Now we’ll give it a well-earned rest until next summer, when it’s time to tackle Phase 2 — the upper half! ☀️🔨
