🏉 Stormettes vs Hull FC – A Baptism of Fire and a True Test of Spirit! 💪

Today the Silsden Stormettes welcomed Hull FC for what turned out to be a hugely physical, high-tempo encounter. It was also a proud day as we introduced three brand new players to the squad, who pulled on the jersey for their very first taste of competitive rugby league – and what a debut it was! Thrown straight into the deep end, they showed real grit and determination throughout.

Hull FC are a strong, physical side and wasted no time piling on the pressure. After a fiercely contested 45 minutes, the match began to slip away as Hull struck with three quick tries. The final score of 36–6 certainly didn’t reflect the intensity and competitiveness of the game.

That said, our girls can hold their heads high – they never stopped working, never stopped believing, and kept pushing right until the final whistle. Despite their best efforts, Hull’s defence held firm and we just couldn’t break them down in that final third.

It was all smiles at the end though – and we’re already looking forward to the rematch in the coming months!

Well done Stormettes – the journey continues! 💚💙💚
