We all love a warm sunny day, but 6 weeks with temperatures in the high 20s and sometimes high 30s is intense.. But unfortunately its also likely our new normal. As explained by the Met Office below.

Over the last couple of years we've spoken with a good few customers about the benefits of air conditioning. Many were sceptical of the need, but circumstances show its becoming a necessity in our new environment.

Whilst timelines will unlikely get AC in your house this summer, planning ahead for next year, and using the beneficial heat pump technology in most AC units to boost the winter heating or a backup for fuel price spikes may be a good idea for many.

☀️Did you know you shouldn’t turn your heating system off completely — even in summer?

Switching everything off might seem like a way to save money, but it can have the opposite effect and even cause boilers to seize up.

Leaving your hot water system on and running your heating briefly every few weeks helps keep everything in good working order and can prevent costly issues when winter returns.

We also recommend booking an annual boiler service with an OFTEC registered technician to keep your system running efficiently.

Helpful tip -

Most of us by now will have turned off our heating (some of those hardcore Scott's have probably been off since Feb 🤭)

If you have manual thermostatic radiator valves nows a good time to set the heads to the top temperature.

Keeping them on a low setting will cause the pins inside to stick as the thermostat holds the valve closed. Probably our most common heating fault call out at the start of winter.

For those DIY handy. You can remove the?heads and give a dose of wd40 or similar to keep them working efficiency.

We're pretty chuffed we've reached a couple of digital milestones this last couple of weeks.

We had a first customer recommended to us via CHAT GBT, a completely independent digital opinion.

Secondly, we received contact from Google to inform us our organic website hits means our website information is now included in Googles standard results algorithms.

Anyone not technical may not understand. But these are things businesses pay thousands to achieve through their advertising budgets and review manipulations.

Our entire advertising budget is focused on a few local parish magazines.

We're very pleased to announce Craig Bond has to today passed his f-gas training for air conditioning and heat pumps.

Within a few weeks (to give him chance to process all he's learnt) we will be able to offer a complete suite of HVAC services
