Replacing your old clay kitchen gulley to a new PVC roddable access gulley will ensure easy access for future maintenance here’s an example of a gulley replacement we completed for a commercial customer in Basingstoke today. We also replaced a broken manhole lid on their driveway with a new driveway rated manhole lid. Both guaranteed for 15 years with certification!

BLACK GOLD otherwise known as PITCH FIBRE. This pipe is constructed from
Wood fibre and Bitumen Tar with asbestos fibres. It was invented in the 50/60’s and banned in the 1970’s and for good reason! The deformations within these old pitch fibre pipes cause customers ongoing problems and the blisters form within the pipes due to de-lamination of the layers of ‘paper mache’ they’re made out of. This job in Portsmouth took 5 hours to replace the entire drain system with NO DIG technology. We removed the blisters then structurally relined the old pipes using CIPP liners

After unblocking this drain in Southampton we used CCTV to find Roots to be growing through the failed joints along the old 4” Clay Drain section. We used our Picote ChainFlail Flexishaft to quickly strip the pipe of roots and prepare it for Structural Resin CIPP lining

1000 year old CCTV drain survey undertaken today at The Hospital of St Cross in Wi******er which isn’t and hasn’t ever been a hospital. It stood for “hospitality” hundreds of years ago! Old cast iron pipes, lead SVP’s and porcelain slippers! Back tomorrow!

After removing the roots using outer hydro-root cutter we installed a CIPP liner to structurally support the old clay pipe and prevent any further root ingress
