Don't get caught out, don't forget to turn your boiler on before the cold weather hits to ensure everything is working fine.
Also don't forget your annual boiler service to ensure your boiler is safe and also in line with manufacturers warranty requirements.

This is just a quick update to all of our customers regarding working during the pandemic.

Due to the sheer volume of current Covid-19 cases in and around the local area and the number of people we see daily that are flouting the rules, we feel that there aren't enough people or companies making enough effort to stay at home and reduce the spread.

So we have decided to stop all non essential works until further notice. We are still available for emergencies only. We also not be carrying out any quotations unless it is via WhatsApp.

We feel that our customers safety, our safety, the safety of our contractors and the safety of our suppliers is more important than making money.

This has been a hard decision to make as we do not get any financial support during the pandemic as our company was too new to qualify but this is very insignificant in comparison to staying safe and healthy and stopping the spread.

Thank you to all of our customers past and present for your support over the last year and we will be back to normal operation once we deem it is safe.

Its not been the best year for a lot of people but Myself and the team have been working non stop to update, improve and repair customers homes and we would like to Thank you all for your business, support and encouragement in 2020 and heres to a better 2021 everyone.

Just another gas safety certificate completed. Usually these take around 45 minutes to an hour to complete depending on what appliances are in the property.

This flat took a while longer to complete as we opened up the boiler case and found a lot of water inside the boiler, we couldn't see any leaks but we had a suspicion that the flue maybe leaking. We opened the inspection hatch to check the fluing of the boiler and we found that the flue had not been correctly clipped and had come apart in the roof void. This meant that products of combustion (fumes, carbon monoxide etc) were leaking into the roof void and had it not been sealed to the flat it could have caused serious injury or even death. To repair the flue we had to cut in an insulated loft hatch to allow for our engineer to access the flue for repair where we found the cause was due to a screw that had been used to clip the flue bracket had no thread and over a couple of years had come loose. This is one of the many reasons for a boiler service or gas safety check to be completed annually, had this gone unchecked serious damage to the boiler would have occured and also the risk of serious injuries or death to thenoccupants of this flat and possibly the other flats.

Progress this week so far at the Southbourne bathroom and kitchen refurbishment we are carrying out. Dropped ceilings installed to allow for down lights and to hide any unsightly pipework. Kitchen plastered and boiler moved. Bathroom reboarded ready for plastering next week. More updates to follow
