People use "family business" as a selling point so often it's almost lost its meaning. So here's what it actuallymeans for us.

It means Steve is involved in every job from the first conversation to the last snagging. It means when something needs a decision mid-project, you're talking to the person who made the quote and knows the full picture. It
means we're not sending a crew you've never met to work in your home.

It also means our reputation really does live and die by every job we do. We can't hide behind a big company name if something goes wrong. So we don't let things go wrong.

The question everyone wants to ask before they've even called...
How much will it cost?

Honestly, there's no number we can give you before we've seen the job. Every project is different. The same extension on two different houses can cost completely different amounts depending on what's there, what needs moving, and what you want at the end of it.

What we can tell you is that our quotes are honest. We don't price low to win the work and find reasons to add cost later. You get a full breakdown before anything starts, and if something changes during the job, we talk to you about it first.

The only way to get a real figure is to let us come out and take a look. It costs nothing, takes an hour, and you'll walk away knowing exactly what you're dealing with.

If you want building work done before Christmas, you need to be talking to us this month.

It's not a sales line. It's just the reality of how the schedule works. A project booked now gets into the calendar, materials get ordered, trades get lined up. A project enquired about in November gets done in spring.

Lots of jobs are possible before Christmas. Bathrooms, kitchens, smaller extensions, outdoor work. But the window for getting them started is closing.

This is the part people don't always see. Before any work starts on your home, a lot of thinking has already happened.

We measure twice. We check what's there, what's load-bearing, what needs moving. We plan the order of work so nothing gets done that has to be undone later. We look at what suppliers have available and when.

It means that when we start, we can finish. On time and to the spec we agreed.

For a small family business, reviews matter more than most people probably realise.

They're how people who haven't heard of us decide whether to pick up the phone. They're what gives someone confidence when they're comparing builders they've never used before.

We don't ask for them often, but if you've been happy with the work we've done, we'd genuinely appreciate it. A couple of minutes on Google or Facebook makes a real difference to us. And if you weren't completely happy, we'd rather hear from you directly so we can put it right.

A lot of people have never had major building work done before. So here's what the process actually looks likewith us.

You get in touch. We come out, listen to what you have in mind, look at the space, and send you a proper quote within a few days.

If you're happy to go ahead, we sort the dates, handle any planning permission or building regulations, and get the project into the schedule.

On site, we manage everything. One team, consistent communication, and we keep disruption to a minimum.

When the work is done, we do a full walk-through with you. Any snagging gets dealt with before we consider the job finished. And if something comes up after we've left, you can reach us directly.

Straightforward, because it should be.

They're not sure exactly what they want yet. They don't know if their budget is realistic. They don't want to bepushed into something before they've made up their mind.

We get it. But one call really is all it takes to get started.

We don't talk about this much on here, but we probably should.
We're a family business. The people quoting your job are the same people building it. There's no handoff between a salesperson and a crew you've never met. You deal with us throughout, and that matters when something needs a decision or a conversation mid-project.

Reliable means we show up when we say we will and we tell you when things change. It sounds basic because it is. But it's the thing that makes the biggest difference to how a job feels to live through.

Good value doesn't mean cheap. It means quality work at a fair price and you know exactly what you're paying for before we start.

And friendly means we'll talk to you like a person, explain things in plain English, and treat your home with the same care we'd want someone to treat ours.

The kitchen is the room people spend the most time in and most often put up with not being quite right.

Too small, not laid out well, dated in a way that's hard to ignore, or just not built for how you actually cook and live. It's one of those things people mention for years before doing anything about it.
