Postbox lock sorted

This customer had no keys for their postbox and needed the lock changed.

Before fitting the new lock, We first had to carefully pick the existing one open so the postbox door could be accessed without unnecessary damage. Once open, the old lock was removed and replaced with a new one, giving the customer a fresh set of working keys.

A small job, but a big help when you can’t access your own post.

Today’s job was upgrading a lock on a glass and aluminium door after the existing lock no longer met the insurance company’s requirements.

Many insurance policies ask for locks to meet a certain standard, especially on external doors, and older or worn locks can sometimes cause problems if you ever need to make a claim.
