Wittswood is a long-established family business run by David Witts and his daughter Sophie Witts as co-directors. Wittswood manufactures quality solid hardwood flooring with a wide range of bespoke flooring trims, skirtings and accessories which bring professionalism in any interior work. Wittswood also offers solid oak ledge and brace doors as well as burning briquettes. All flooring planks are made to measure in-house in Wittswood's local factory in Lincolnshire. They offer a rich variety of hardwoods - English Oak, Sapele, Maple, Ash and Beech, available in different grades and finishes. Could be a sleek, smooth finish or something with character, a country cottage or Scandinavian minimalist, Wittswood always has the best flooring options for all! The company has come a long way, from initially manufacturing wooden carpet thresholds, using one machine in David’s garage, to working upon other mouldings, flooring, doors and other wooden items. The family moved to Lincolnshire 20 years ago in 2001 and established the company in the village of Kirton just outside Boston. Wittswood is proud to have also manufactured the bespoke wooden components for the prestigious Forum building project at the University of Exeter and the wooden beams and columns for the milestone Sainsbury's Store at Kings Lynn, which opened in November 2012. Today Wittswood has a decent office, a great factory and a wealth of experience and expertise in the Timber industry! A glimpse behind the scenes at Wittswood, where the team are busy turning solid oak into doors, gates and bespoke joinery. While machinery helps us prepare and accurately cut the timber, there is still plenty of hands-on skill involved in producing each finished piece. It’s this combination of traditional woodworking skills, experience and a well-equipped workshop that allows us to offer such a wide range of designs – including made-to-measure options for those less-than-standard openings.
