I’ve just completed a full roof using reclaimed Welsh slate. Each slate was re-holed and dressed, ensuring a precise, traditional finish that complements the structure perfectly. The project also included all new lead work to the chimneys and valleys, providing long-lasting weather protection while maintaining a clean, professional look. The result is a high-quality roof that blends craftsmanship with heritage materials.

The completed roof presents a clean, durable, and professionally finished appearance, combining both functionality and traditional style. It has been covered using high-quality concrete double Roman roof tiles, which provide a classic profile while ensuring long-lasting weather resistance and structural reliability. The ridge line has been securely finished with a cemented ridge system, offering added strength and protection against the elements.

At the bay top, lead work has been expertly installed, delivering a watertight and visually neat solution that complements the overall roofing system. The installation is further enhanced by brand new fascia and soffits.

Overall, the roof demonstrates solid workmanship, attention to detail, and a finish that is both aesthetically pleasing and built to withstand the demands of the UK climate.

An old bent and twisted roof replaced and upgraded with new fascia and soffits , reclaimed slates , fresh lead work and insulation upgraded.
Thanks to Lincolnshire roofing and lead works giving us a hand with the rain diverters above the windows where guttering could not be fixed.
