Its been quiet here, i know :) Some large projects have kept me busy, one nearing release is "The Raiders Opus" 1300 images in a massive book the likes you have never seen!

Neither the client nor I knew where this was, Google image search didn't either. I asked around, and a friend recognised it. Some streetview research later, and the correct perspective was used for the tower. Blackpool Pleasure Beach Casino.

I also I would like to share my latest work on the Channel 4 series The Race for Ancient Egypt in Colour.
I provided the archival restoration and colouring for this incredible two part documentary. It was a pleasure to partner with the talented team at Woodcut Media again!!

The series reveals how the hunt for relics drove modern Egyptian nationalism.

Last year I worked on the new Channel 4 series Britain's Railway Empire in Colour

I restored and coloured the archival footage for both episodes of this fascinating documentary. Working with the team at Woodcut Media was a brilliant experience once again.

The series reveals how steam technology built the British Empire across the globe.

In 1929 Barrow, little Tom Roberts found himself in the morning paper... He wandered away from home, found a crowd outside Broadbent’s Fishmongers, and ended up being used as a "human ruler" for an 8-foot-long Royal Sturgeon!

I had the absolute pleasure of restoring this incredible piece of history for his daughter, Mrs. Gannon. It’s a story of a "Royal" fish, the hardship of the Vickers shipyard in the 20s, and the raw independence of a Barrow childhood.

"My wife found a photograph in our loft, it was dusty and had suffered heat damage. It was the image of her mother as a child taken in C1909. We had doubts that it could be effectively restored. It was so delicate that we decided to deliver it by hand to "Image Restore". We drove 26 miles to hand over the photograph to Neil the proprietor of "Image Restore". We waited 10 minutes and the photo was handed back to us, Neil having scanned it. Within two days proofs were e-mailed to us. We were astounded at the quality and clarity of the picture and when the actual print was delivered to us via Royal Mail three days later we were even more impressed. The photo could have been taken yesterday, you would never have believed that the image was 116 years old.
Thank you Neil, it was magic."

I recently coloured rare images for the Channel 5 documentary The Three Kings of 1936. The documentary episodes explore the 1936 constitutional crisis that rocked the British monarchy.

It was a pleasure to work with the talented team at Woodcut Media on this project.

The film features incredible unseen photographs from the private collection of David Suchet.Our restoration work brings these royal moments into a vibrant reality. It is a fascinating look at a year that changed the monarchy forever.
