What do swimming pool plant rooms, gala dinner meetings and accidentally falling into pools have in common? 👀 They’ve all featured somewhere in James Hadley’s 18 years in the swimming pool industry!

For our latest Meet the Team, we caught up with our Commercial Director James Hadley to talk about how he fell into the industry, what brought him to Pool Tech, why trust matters more than job titles and what he thinks makes a great team.

Plus, we get into the important stuff… including why the pub wins over the gym and why, even after all these years working around pools, a pool is still non-negotiable on holiday.

From an empty industrial unit to a fully operational swimming pool in just five weeks. 🏊‍♂️

Our latest case study takes a look behind the scenes at the new Billie's Fins Swim School facility in Peterborough, where the Pool Tech team delivered the complete pool build - from the pool shell and pipework through to filtration, chemical dosing and the full plant room installation.

It was a big job, a tight turnaround and one that needed everyone on site working closely together to get it over the line.

From pushing a mop bucket around his local leisure centre at 16 to starting Pool Tech Services with just £20 at the age of 24… Danny Grant's career has been quite the journey!

In our latest Q&A, we grabbed a brew with our Managing Director to talk about where it all started, building Pool Tech into the business it is today, why he now sees dyslexia as one of his greatest strengths, the importance of giving young people a chance and what nearly three decades in the swimming pool industry has taught him along the way.

We also find out why he’s been called the ‘Gordon Ramsay of swimming pools’… and what he’d be doing if Pool Tech had never happened? 👀
