Oak Staircase – Lake District
Here’s a recent staircase we designed and installed in a beautiful Lake District home in Ambleside.
Made entirely from oak with glass balustrades, it features a built-in seating area – perfect for taking off shoes before heading inside.

The design might look simple, but like all staircases, the key was in the details. Every measurement had to be exact to ensure a smooth transition from the first floor to the basement and perfectly align with the landing area. Precision makes all the difference.

Solid Oak Staircase | Chamfered Spindles | Oversized Newels.

This all oak staircase with chamfered spindles and bold, oversized newel posts—chosen by the customer for added presence and strength. We think it was the perfect call.

Precision-built with a curved bottom & bullnose tread keep a clean finishing throughout, this staircase is both functional and striking—an ideal fit for modern or traditional interiors.

We try not to post work-in-progress photos, but this all-oak cut string staircase is something special. Featuring custom-designed spindles, this staircase is already shaping up to be a standout feature in a beautiful new home located in wilmslow.

The craftsmanship and detail going into this one is something we’re proud of — and we can’t wait to share the finished photos once the house is complete.
