Going fully electric is not just about the car. It is about how you charge day to day. 🚗 ⚡

For many drivers, that is the part that feels uncertain at first. In reality, once charging becomes part of your routine, it is far simpler than expected.

In our blog, we share how one driver’s experience changed once they understood how EV charging actually works in everyday life.

The Workplace Charging Scheme is now confirmed through to 31 March 2027.

The grant now offers up to £500 per socket for most workplaces, helping reduce the upfront cost of installing EV charge points.

Importantly, installations completed after 1 April 2026 qualify for the higher rate, regardless of when the voucher was issued. There is no need to cancel and reapply.

For businesses planning staff or fleet EV charge points, this strengthens the business case and makes planning more straightforward.

One of the biggest misconceptions about solar is that it does not work well in the UK.

That is not the issue.

The real question is how your home uses energy.

Homes that use more electricity during the day tend to see the biggest benefit. Others may still benefit, but the setup needs to be planned properly.

It is less about the weather and more about how your system is designed around you.

Thinking about solar? Make sure it is designed around how you actually use energy:

Electrical regulations do not change for the sake of it. They change because how we use electricity has changed.

Higher demand, new technologies, and more complex systems all mean greater risk if installations are not designed properly.

In 2026, many updates are no longer transitional. They are now expected as standard.

In our blog, we explain what has changed and what it means in practice.

State-funded education institutions still have strong support available for EV charge points.

The Workplace Charging Scheme for state-funded education institutions is now set at up to £2,000 per socket, helping reduce the upfront cost of installation.

For many schools, this creates a practical opportunity to support staff, parents, and visitors as more vehicles move to electric.

The key is making sure the setup works for how your site is used, and that the process is managed correctly from the start.
