📍 Project Update – D’urton Rise

We have recently completed another piling phase at D’urton Rise, working in partnership with Ascot Homes. The scope of works comprised the installation of 140 mm diameter steel tubular piles, designed to achieve a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 300kN, taking account of site-specific ground conditions.

If you’re planning upcoming works and need a reliable piling solution, our team would be happy to help, feel free to get in touch to discuss your project requirements.

We’re pleased to be working with A&H Construction on a new scheme in Birmingham, delivering ground improvement for 22 commercial units.

Our team is currently installing vibro stone columns, using two vibro compaction rigs alongside two pre-bore rigs. The pre-boring is required to pe*****te the dense made ground on site.

✅ Why vibro stone columns?
They provide improved bearing capacities and reduce settlement, creating a cost-effective and sustainable ground improvement solution for sites with variable or challenging soils.

Piling works are now underway at Creams Mill in Bolton for Watson Homes, where we are delivering a driven steel tubular piling solution for a new residential development.

The scheme involves the installation of over 700 no. 140mm diameter open-ended tubular piles, designed to achieve a safe working load of 350kN per pile.

We look forward to progressing with the works and supporting Watson Homes on this key regeneration project in the region.

Piling works have just wrapped up in Urmston for Eccleston Homes, utilising 140mm tubular steel piles driven up to 10m deep.

The works were executed using our yellow powerhouse, the Banut 300, which continues to deliver consistent results across challenging ground conditions.

Thanks to the expertise of our on-site operatives and careful planning from our engineering team, the works were completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standard we pride ourselves on.

🏗️Project Update | Vibro Stone Columns in Nuneaton

We’re on-site in Nuneaton delivering ground improvement works for Harper Group Plc. Our team is currently installing vibro stone columns to a depth of approximately 2.5 metres, designed to enhance bearing capacity and settlement performance in variable ground conditions.

💡 Why Vibro Stone Columns?
Vibro stone columns offer an efficient, cost-effective ground improvement solution, especially on sites where traditional foundations might struggle due to weak or compressible soils. By installing compacted columns of stone through the ground profile, we create a reinforced matrix that significantly improves load distribution and drainage.

🔍 In-House Testing
As part of our commitment to quality and performance, we’re also completing:

✅ Our in-house dummy footing test, which simulates actual structural loading and validates design assumptions.

✅ Plate load testing, to provide on-site verification of bearing capacities and confirm suitability for the proposed foundation system.

Well done to our site team for their continued hard work and attention to detail.

We're excited to share progress on our latest project in collaboration with Cavanna Homes at Mead Park, Bickington, near Barnstaple, North Devon .

Our team is currently on-site, installing 140mm diameter steel tubular piles to provide a robust foundation for the development.

In addition to the piling works, we’re also carrying out bespoke noise and vibration monitoring tailored to the site’s specific environmental requirements. This ensures we remain compliant with regulations while minimising disruption to the local community. This initiative underscores our commitment to sustainable construction practices and our dedication to delivering high-quality results for our clients.

Stay tuned for more updates as the project advances!
