Turns out a scaffold ladder makes the perfect little soldering station for 15mm copper 👌🔥
Slide the pipe through, holds it steady and leaves both hands free to get a nice clean soldered joint.

Bathroom transformation 🛁✨
Another bathroom completed by Players Plumbing Ltd
This one was a tight space, but what a difference! The old bathroom was completely stripped out and transformed with:
✔️ New bath, taps & waste
✔️ Full-height shower wall panels
✔️ New electric shower
✔️ New vanity basin & tap
✔️ New WC
✔️ Chrome towel radiator
✔️ New extractor fan
✔️ New flooring
✔️ Fresh silicone & finishing touches
All completed in just 4 days. 👌

Another bathroom transformation completed by Players Plumbing Ltd🛁🚿✨

For this project we:

🔨 Removed the old floor tiles and screeded the floor ready for lino
🧱 Overboarded the tiled walls to create a smooth painted finish 🎨
💧 Installed PVC wall panels around the new bath
🛁 Fitted a new bath and taps
🚿 Reinstalled the electric shower
✨ Installed a new vanity basin
🚽 Replaced the internal parts of the toilet cistern
🔥 Relocated the radiator pipework and installed a chrome towel radiator
🪟 Fitted a new window sill

A much brighter, cleaner and more practical bathroom! 🤩👌✨

🔧💦 That’s one more DIY outside tap scrapped! 😂
Called out to this outside tap which had decided it didn’t just want to leak… it wanted to spray water everywhere! 💦😅
The pipework had split, so rather than trying to patch up the old DIY setup, it was all stripped out and started again properly. 👌
🔧 Old DIY setup removed
✂️ Split pipework cut out
🔩 Proper fittings installed
🚰 New outside tap fitted
💧 Tested and leak-free
Sometimes the best repair is to scrap the DIY and start again! 😂

This bathroom was stripped back and completely refreshed to create a much brighter, cleaner and more modern space. 👌

🔧 Saturday Call-Out for Players Plumbing Ltd 🚨🚽
Called out to a toilet that was constantly filling and wouldn’t shut off properly.

Once I managed to gain access to the concealed cistern — which was the fun part! 😅 — I found the flush mechanism/siphon had failed.

🔹 Gained access to the concealed cistern
🔹 Removed the faulty flush mechanism
🔹 Installed a new replacement
🔹 Tested everything thoroughly
🔹 Toilet back up and running as it should ✅

Not the easiest cistern to get to, but we got there! 👨‍🔧🔧

Hosepipe restrictions are being introduced

A temporary hosepipe ban is being introduced for all our customers in Devon, Cornwall, parts of Dorset and Somerset and the Isles of Scilly. The ban will come into effect at 00:01am on Saturday 8th August to help protect water supplies during the current drought conditions. Please help safeguard water supplies by following these restrictions immediately. Customers must not use hosepipes for non-essential purposes while the ban is in place. This includes using a hosepipe to:
Water your garden
Wash your car
Fill a paddling pool, swimming pool or hot tub
Clean your patio or driveway
Clean walls and windows
Water can still be used as normal for drinking, washing and cooking. You can still carry out many of your usual activities without a hosepipe, for example by using a watering can to water plants or using a bucket and sponge to wash your car.

It’s not every day you turn up to remove a bathroom from under the stairs! 🚽🔧

The toilet and macerator pump, basin and heated towel rail were all disconnected and removed, ready for the space to be transformed into a useful storage cupboard.
