Quod Tango Muto — What I touch, I change.
That’s always been the mission behind everything I do through Gareth Beddow Personal Training and East Meets West Black Belt Academy …
Leave people better than I found them.
Stronger physically.
Clearer mentally.
Better… full stop.
The amount of times someone walks in saying
“I nearly cancelled today…"
Tired. Stressed. Angry. Broken.
And then leaves a completely different person.
Yesterday… that happened over and over again within just a couple of hours — but on a whole different level.
A PT client messaged before the session — not in a good place. Asked to switch to pad work.
They walked in shaking uncontrollably from a panic attack… one that had been going on since 2am (this was 5pm).
Within minutes we brought her out of that fight-or-flight state.
Then we sat, talked, and started unpicking things that had been building for months.
They left lighter. In control again.
Next — a new martial arts student took a heavy shot.
Crying. Wanted to quit.
That moment? That’s a defining one in this sport.
Pulled him to the side, did some quick work…
They stepped straight back in and finished the session like nothing had happened.
I’ve seen that moment break people before.
I only wish I had these tools 10 years ago.
Then another student — been worrying for months about competing against someone who’s beaten them multiple times.
We removed that fear completely.
That opponent? Not even on their radar anymore.
And that alone could be the difference between winning and losing.
Final session of the day — sat down with a client and stripped away a load of limiting beliefs that have been holding them back.
And that’s when it really hit me…
There’s no limit to what I can do when I combine all of this.
Fitness. Coaching. Martial arts. Mindset.
This is just the beginning of the next chapter.
