Look at the state of this mess, absolutely disgusting! 🤮

We had a tenant give notice to leave today, I thought it was strange as this particular tenant had never missed a payment and the property suited him down to the ground. I couldn’t help but ask as to why he was leaving, to which he stated that he “couldn’t open his window all summer due to the smell”. I driven straight to Tredegar to assess the situation myself, I was mortified that the people in the HMO on this street can live like this and get away with it! Where are their morals? What about the landlord? If this was one of our properties I’d be out there myself litter picking and sorting my tenants out as it’s an absolute embarrassment!

This is why HMO’s have such a bad name, especially when they are poorly managed.

I don’t normally share things like this, but this one is very close to home.

One of our tenants, Mike, has recently been given the devastating news that he has a brain tumour.

Only a few weeks ago, he was there alongside me helping tackle a fire at the property. I never imagined that just weeks later, he would be facing something so serious.

He actually called me early in the morning this week to tell me his news. Despite everything he must have been feeling and going through, he still took the time to let me know personally.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help support him and his family through what is undoubtedly going to be an incredibly difficult time. If anyone is able to contribute anything at all, no matter how small, I know it would mean a huge amount.
