Carrying out some investigation work earlier this week and along with some questionable I wiring in other light fittings, I came across this lighting connection left in the attic above a bedroom light, which I hope wasn't fitted by a professional. the potential fire hazard was dealt with by way of rewiring and installing in a maintenance free box finding

After attending a call out between Christmas and New year for a customer who couldn't get their downstairs lights on, we returned today to replace the faulty cable we disconnected last time. As you can, see the fault was caused by rodents taking shelter in their attic! Not a nice job, but one that has to be done 🐭🐁🐀 🤮🤢
