Garage roof stripped and re-felted with a black mineral finish

I do like a good stripper
A rather large flat roof Completed this week
Completely stripped down to joists correctly re-boarded and re-felted with a black mineral finish
The original roof did not look that old but was totally incorrectly done with only one layer of felt and the boards were absolutely saturated with water must have been leaking from day one as the felt just peeled up.
The decking boards themselves were not staggered and certainly did not have enough nails in them causing a lot of play bounce in the roof which in effect caused the felt lift and eventually crack on the joints of the boards
Clad to say the customer now has a solid roof that is going to last..

Got a leak on your skylight this is the most common cause seen it hundreds of times not always the problem but most of the time it is
Front cover flashing under tiles each end sags over time Should be supported with batten underneath it to prevent it happening........🧐🤔

A nice new roof to a big new build on Normoss Road got a bit messy this one with the weather
but have been passed since and after a few downpours of rain it looks absolutely mint
