NEW READYMIX CONCRETE PLANT NOW OPEN IN LEYLAND

We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new Readymix Concrete Plant, strengthening our ability to supply high-quality concrete quickly and consistently across the region through Moore Readymix, part of the Fox Group.

With a production capacity of 60m³ per hour and a 2m³ mixer, the new plant delivers fast mixing and consistent quality — helping us keep projects moving.

This plant will complement our Lytham St.Annes operation which is identical in its capability, and has been supplying the Fylde Coast for over 20 years.

Sustainability has been a key consideration in the design of the new facility. Two 60-tonne powder silos allow us to use high percentages of cement replacements, helping reduce the carbon impact of our concrete.Aggregate loading is also carried out indoors, helping to control noise and dust emissions around the site.

Whether you’re working on a DIY project, self-build, commercial development or major construction project, Moore Readymix can provide the concrete supply and delivery service you need.

J Fisher & Sons, part of the Fox Group, provide comprehensive planing services for projects of all sizes across the North West.

The fleet includes six W35Ri planers, capable of operating with 350mm or 500mm cutting drums, alongside fine milling drums for applications including white line removal, anti-skid coatings and bridge waterproofing.

Our complete service includes planing, haulage, sweeping and removal of road planings, supported by experienced operators and a fleet of low loaders, tippers and sweepers.

Another job taking us back to the Cuadrilla site in Blackpool.

A few years ago, Fox Group supplied stone to help fill the former fracking holes at the site. Now we’re back on site for a very different job — dismantling and removing the acoustic fencing.

The fencing is being carefully taken down so it can be sold on and reused elsewhere, giving the materials a second life rather than going to waste.

A great example of how our team continues to deliver practical solutions long after the original work is complete.

Our demolition team recently began work at Kennel Farm in Formby, carrying out the full demolition of the existing farm buildings and stables.

Last year, Fox Group recycled 1.2 million tonnes of material, helping to keep valuable resources in use and reduce the amount of construction material going to waste.

Our approach to the circular economy is about more than recycling. It is about creating a connected process where materials from demolition and construction can be recovered, processed and reused in new projects.

From crushing, screening and washing through to the production of recycled aggregates and bulk fill materials, we create opportunities to return recovered materials to the construction cycle — including their use of 60% recycled RAP.

This approach helps reduce reliance on virgin materials, make better use of existing resources and support more sustainable construction practices.
