This boiler was installed around 18 years ago by the homeowner and finally gave up.
One last attempt before replacement…
Fault traced to the main PCB.
Board replaced and straight back into operation. ✅
Another reminder that proper diagnostics save customers money.
New boiler discussions underway for later in the year —but no emergency replacement needed today.

Old but gold 🔧
No hot water? Everyone screams “new boiler”… we don’t.
Fault traced to a failed water valve (broken plunger) replaced, job done.
Back up and running. No upsell, just proper diagnosis.

This isn’t wear and tear this is contamination.
Heavy shell/shale build-up inside the gas line on this Baxi Duo‑tec combi boiler. One of the worst I’ve come across.

Restricted gas flow
Unstable burn
Intermittent faults
Stripped, cleaned, tested back up and running.

If your boiler’s acting strange after gas works in your area, there’s usually a reason.
