Curtain Wall

What is curtain walling, and why does it matter for a project like this?

Unlike a standard window, which sits inside a structural opening, curtain walling is a full facade system in its own right — a "skin" of aluminium mullions and transoms carrying the glazing, hung from the building's frame rather than bearing any of its weight. That's what lets a gable end like this go almost entirely glass, from ridge to eaves, without compromising structure or performance.

It's a look we're seeing more of in new build and extension projects across Lancashire — full-height glazing that floods a room with light and blurs the line between inside and out.

Free skip use, free delivery (usual exclusions apply), and a full range of ancillary products like sealants and fixings, all ready to go. Lead times of just 5–10 working days on standard products.

If you're a builder or installer who'd rather not take on the glazing yourself, our trade installation service is there – subcontract the windows and doors to us and we'll handle it. And if you need advice on designs, styles or technical requirements, just ask.
