🏡 Patio Extension Turned Full Patio Relay

This project originally started as a straightforward patio extension, but once we began investigating the existing paving, we discovered that the entire patio had been laid directly onto sand.

Unfortunately, this meant we couldn’t confidently extend from the existing work knowing the correct foundations weren’t underneath it.

So, rather than cutting corners, the decision was made to lift and relay the entire patio and pathway properly. 💪

✅ Full contact wet beds with slurry

A much bigger job than originally planned, but sometimes doing the job right means going back to basics and making sure everything underneath is as good as what you see on top.

A complete upgrade to the front of this property by SGP Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance Ltd.

We removed the existing tree from the front garden, prepared the area and installed a brand-new tarmac driveway, finished with silver grey block paving edgings for a clean, sharp contrast.

The transformation has opened up the frontage, created a much more practical parking area and given the property a smart new look. 👌

We completed a new porcelain patio, installed sleeper steps to deal with the change in levels, and laid concrete slabs ready for the customer’s shed.

A simple, practical transformation finished to a high standard and making much better use of the garden.

Over 40m² of porcelain paving installed, completely transforming this outdoor space.

This one required plenty of careful cutting and attention to detail, with the new paving having to follow the existing curved borders throughout the garden.

We also constructed a new brick-built step, finished neatly to tie in with the new patio.

✅ ANOTHER GARDEN RESCUED & COMPLETED! 🌿🏡

We completed this project back in early July — and it was certainly one that needed putting right.

Unfortunately, the client had previously paid over £7,000 to have their garden landscaped, only to be left with poor workmanship and a garden that was still practically unusable.

When we started uncovering what had been done, the extent of the problems became clear. The previous garden had essentially been landscaped straight over, rather than being properly excavated and prepared.

To put things right, the SGP team carried out:

🔨 Over 80m² of paving lifted and relaid
🚛 3 grab loads removed to properly excavate and redo the garden
🪵 New sleeper borders installed
♻️ Existing slabs carefully reused where possible
🆕 Additional new slabs supplied where required
🌿 Overgrown areas cleared and transformed
🏡 Proper preparation carried out to leave the client with a garden they could finally use and enjoy

It was genuinely shocking to see some of the work that had previously been carried out, especially considering how much the client had already paid.

We had to rip everything out and start again, we reused as much of the existing paving as possible, properly excavated and finished the garden properly.

A huge transformation — and most importantly, the client finally has the usable, finished garden they originally paid for.

Another MASSIVE project completed recently by the team

Over 150m2 driveway installed by the team over weekends to get this done for our client around our busy schedule.

Over 8000 blocks laid in 3 days during the heatwave 🥵
