Logic Gates Overview:

Digital electronics is the foundation of modern technology, powering everything from smartphones and computers to industrial automation and PLC systems. At the heart of every digital circuit are Logic Gates—electronic building blocks that process binary inputs (0 and 1) to produce a specific output based on Boolean logic.

This infographic explains the 8 fundamental logic gates, their symbols, Boolean expressions, and truth tables used in digital system design.

🔷 Types of Logic Gates

1️⃣ AND Gate
Produces a HIGH (1) output only when all inputs are HIGH. Commonly used for enabling and safety interlocks.

2️⃣ OR Gate
Produces a HIGH output when at least one input is HIGH. Widely used in alarm and control circuits.

3️⃣ NOT Gate (Inverter)
Reverses the input signal by converting 1 to 0 and 0 to 1.

4️⃣ NAND Gate
The inverse of the AND gate. It outputs LOW only when all inputs are HIGH. One of the most widely used universal logic gates.

5️⃣ NOR Gate
The inverse of the OR gate. It outputs HIGH only when all inputs are LOW. Another universal logic gate used in digital design.

6️⃣ XOR (Exclusive OR) Gate
Produces a HIGH output only when the inputs are different. Commonly used in arithmetic circuits, parity generation, and error detection.

7️⃣ XNOR (Exclusive NOR) Gate
Produces a HIGH output when the inputs are the same. Frequently used in digital comparators and equality checking.

8️⃣ Buffer Gate
Passes the input directly to the output without changing its logic state while improving signal strength and isolation.
