The flyer that started it all…

10 years ago we launched the very first Vocal at the original LAB11.

Back then there were no videographers, no drones, no fancy content. Just an idea for party, a love of vocal house music and a flyer.

We took over the warehouse room and a makeshift terrace covered by a canopy, bringing together house music legend Kings Of Tomorrow and Ibiza favourite Andy Baxter for what turned out to be the start of something special.

Looking back, it’s hard to believe where the journey would take us.

Over the years we’ve hosted some of the biggest names in house music, thrown parties on rooftops, under the arches and in various spaces.

We’ve watched friendships form, memories made and a community grow around a shared love of music.

Who would have thought that a decade later we’d still be here?

As we celebrate 10 years, we’ll be sharing more memories, stories, photos and moments from the journey over the coming weeks.

Junior Jack is a house music icon we’ve wanted to bring to VOCAL since the very beginning.

Honestly, we never thought it would happen… but somehow we’ve managed to pull it off for our 10 year anniversary.

Buzzing is an understatement!!

From Space Ibiza, Pacha and Defected right through to present day sets at Amnesia and Boiler Room, Junior Jack’s records didn’t just soundtrack an era… they’ve continued creating moments for over 20 years.

Not many artists can say their music has connected generations of clubbers the way his has.

20 years on and these records are still smashing parties all around the world.

A lot of thought, effort and passion has gone into building a HUGE line up that 100% represents what Vocal People is all about.

We’ve gone through names, sounds, eras, moments and memories, to make sure that every room, every booking and every set captures the feeling that’s kept this party moving for a decade.

3 arenas. Hand picked headliners. Residents we trust. DJs we know will deliver.

Between these names; the music and productions they’ve given us, have soundtracked countless Vocal People moments over the years. The kind of records that lived in every DJ’s box. The kind of tunes that built dance floors, memories and proper nights out.

Vocal people.. It’s taken us nearly two weeks to recover from that party… WOW! 🤯

We took over the terrace, a space we haven’t used in a long time, and it did not disappoint.🔥

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of our events this year. It’s been unreal 🫶

We’re looking forward to a little break now… but next year marks 10 years of VOCAL.

And we’re coming back with something HUGE! 👀💥

Throwback to some of the moments that made this year special. ✨

In June we had Low Steppa shut the place down 🔥 July brought the Greenhouse Takeover and that summer energy. August took things even further with our massive collab alongside Forward Motion 🚀

Every party had its own vibe and its own magic and looking back at these clips reminds us why we do what we do! 🎶

Now we’re rolling into the final dance of the year, our Christmas Classics this Saturday! It’s always felt like the unofficial Lab11 Christmas party. Everyone’s out, the atmosphere’s pure festive chaos and the music goes everywhere from feel good house to proper hands in the air singalongs 🙌🏼

Vocal People, we’re back again with a proper soulful house classic. Nearly 25 years old now… can you believe it?!

This one was peak time ammo at every Funky House event back in the day. Arca Bar, Moneypenny’s, Fuel, Hidden… if you were out during that era, you heard this. It was a staple in every DJ’s collection and still sounds ridiculous today.

We can’t wait to see everyone on Saturday. We’re over 90% sold now and looking to sell out by the weekend, so if you haven’t got your ticket yet, grab it before they’re gone. 🚀
