Are gutter guards a good solution to stop gutters getting blocked?
In our experience they cause more problems than they solve. They may help prolong the amount of time until you need to get your gutters cleaned but also they can do the exact opposite. Small harmless bits of debris that would wash away when it rains become stuck in the outlet causing blockages that wouldnt have happened if they weren't there. The best solution is to have your gutters cleaned and inspected once a year and avoid guards if at all possible.

Look what we found growing inside this customers downpipe. They'd not long ago had their gutters cleaned by another company but still had problems so they called us to see if we could help.

Even we were surprised by the size of this root system which had made its home inside our customers guttering. This had obviously been growing for a number of years and been missed up to this point.

What is lurking inside your gutters?
