So bob the builder had been to this one, the list was endless with the faults that needed rectifying 🤦🏻♂️
Unfortunately, a lovely couple were taken advantage of but we were happy to save the day!
We started with ripping up the old, nasty laminate which was two different colours (the previous installer was meant to match them!)
After ripping up we found there was moisture in the subfloor, due to an incorrect self levelling water/powder ratio and the subfloor was all over the place. So to fix the levels we smashed out the hollow areas and grinded down some areas to correct the subfloor. With the moisture present we installed an epoxy DPM to stop any further problems.
With the DPM finished we installed 6mm SP101 Ply to the remaining areas, with a feather edge to remove any joins in the ply. Once the DPM had fully cured we installed a fibre reinforced self leveller, along with grip primer. Some of the areas needed deep filling to get the levels right and to also get a perfect transition from the existing concrete to the 6mm ply.

The customer selected Sierra LVT from the Habitana range in stonewashed driftwood, offering supreme luxury and durability at excellent value for money. We have been fitting the Sierra collection for over 5 years now, so the installation was effortless.
We are really pleased with this one, knowing the nightmare the customers had gone through with the previous fitter and the turn around we provided for them 👌
