The next brief shouldn't start from scratch.

As we conclude our Brief to Brilliant series, we move from evolution into renewal. 🔁

Every project should leave you knowing more than when you started.

What worked. What didn't. What audiences responded to. What surprised us. And what opportunities emerged along the way.

That knowledge shouldn't disappear when the campaign ends. It should make the next brief sharper, the thinking better informed and the work stronger.

That's why we don't really see a brief as the beginning of a linear process.

The work informs the learning.
The learning informs the next brief.
And the cycle begins again.
From brief to brilliant. And back again.

Sometimes, you just need to switch off... 🩵

We spend so much of our time switched on.

Emails. Deadlines. Meetings.
Always connected. Always moving. Always thinking about what's next.

But sometimes, the most important thing you can do is nothing.

Switch off the laptop.
Put your phone down.
Step away from the noise.
Take a breath.
Go for a walk.
Give yourself some space.

Because switching off isn't falling behind.
It's looking after yourself.

This World Mental Health Day, we're reminding ourselves, and each other, that it's okay to hit pause on life.

Sometimes you need to switch off, so you can switch back on.

Creativity gets attention. Consistency gets remembered.💡

When you work with a brand every day, it's easy to get tired of seeing the same things.
The same colours. The same messages. The same visual language.

But your audience doesn't see your brand every day.

What can feel repetitive to you may only just be becoming familiar to them.

That doesn't mean creativity stops. Creative ex*****on can continually evolve – while the things that make your brand recognisable remain consistent.

Our latest blog looks at why familiarity matters, how some of the world's most recognisable brands have used repetition to their advantage, and why changing a brand simply because you're tired of it can do more harm than good.

Continuing our Brief to Brilliant series as we move from learning into evolution…

Because learning only creates value when we do something with it.

Once we understand what worked, what didn’t and why, the next step is to take those insights and use them to shape what comes next.
That might mean refining the message, changing the creative, adapting the audience or challenging the original thinking.

It’s not about starting again.
It’s about building on what we already know.

Every campaign gives us another opportunity to learn, improve and evolve - making the next brief stronger, the next idea smarter and the next campaign more effective.

Because brilliant marketing isn’t about getting everything right first time.
It’s about creating a process that gets better every time.

And that’s where insight becomes action.

Stay tuned for the next step in the series.

The more audiences you have, the more complicated communication becomes.📢

Different people need different messages, different levels of detail and often different channels. But that doesn't mean your brand should feel different every time someone encounters it.

The challenge is to create flexibility in your communications without losing consistency in your brand.

Our latest blog looks at how to build a communication model around multiple audiences – making the complexity behind the scenes feel simple to the people you're trying to reach.💡

Continuing our Brief to Brilliant series as we move from optimisation into learning…

Optimisation is about making improvements.
Learning is about understanding why they worked.

Once changes have been made and campaigns have had time to perform, we look beyond the numbers to understand what they’re really telling us.

Which messages resonated?
Which audiences responded?
What creative stood out?
What didn’t work - and why?

These learnings become more than just observations. They become valuable insight that can shape future campaigns, inform strategy and help us make better decisions next time.

Because smarter marketing is all about building on what we learn and using every campaign to make the next one stronger.

Stay tuned for the next step in the series.

💡Want to know how to optimise blog posts for SEO like a pro...

To get a good insight, read our blog: https://weareswitch.com/marketing-blog/how-to-optimise-your-blog-posts-for-seo-like-a-pro

But here’s a few things to think about.

Getting your blog to actually rank on Google, It comes down to doing the basics really well.

Start with solid keyword research (focus on what people are actually searching for - especially long-tail keywords). Then build your content around it with a clear, structured format using headings that make it easy to read for both users and search engines.

From there, it’s all about quality: write helpful, in-depth content that genuinely answers the query. Support it with smart internal linking, optimised images (alt text + compression), and a strong meta description to improve clicks.

Don’t forget the technical side - page speed, mobile optimisation, and schema markup all play a big role in visibility.

Finally, publish isn’t the finish line - keep updating and promoting your content.

SEO isn’t about hacks. It’s about consistency, clarity, and value. 🚀

Everyone’s using AI to see what they might have looked like in the 80s.
We thought we’d save ourselves the prompt.

Here’s our founders Steve and Rich burning the midnight oil, in the actual 80s!

Whilst the business has certainly evolved over the past 41 years, the Partners maintain they haven’t changed a bit!😂

Today, we’re embracing AI and everything it can add to the creative process. But we still believe the most important ingredients haven’t changed: original thinking, good ideas, experience, judgement and being unmistakably human.

AI can try to recreate the past.
We were there.

Switch. Original since 1985.

🚀 Search is evolving.

With AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, users aren’t just clicking links anymore, they’re getting direct answers.

This is driving a new shift: Generative AI Engine Optimisation (GEO).

GEO is about making sure your brand is:
✔ understood by AI
✔ trusted in your space
✔ included in AI-generated answers

Unlike SEO (which focuses on rankings), GEO focuses on being part of the answer itself.

SEO helps people find you.
GEO helps AI explain you.

Brands that combine both will lead the future of search.
The bottom line is well structured content will benefit both SEO and GEO. Content that performs well in search engines already aligns closely with what generative AI systems value.
